Viora is a user data protection platform that helps you report, investigate, and escalate data breaches and privacy violations. When you file a report, our team reviews your case, contacts the offending company, and — where warranted — refers the matter to law enforcement, regulatory bodies like the ICO or FTC, or legal partners.
We act as an intermediary on your behalf, using legal compliance frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, UK DPA 2018) to pressure companies into addressing your complaint.
Yes. A Google account is required to submit reports. This is necessary to:
Keep your reports private and linked only to you
Allow us to send you status updates
Prevent spam and fraudulent submissions
Let you track your case through your dashboard
Sign-in takes under 10 seconds using Google Sign-In.
Yes, completely free. Submitting reports, tracking your case, using support chat, and receiving status updates are all free. Viora operates as a public interest platform. We do not charge users or take a percentage of any settlements.
You can report:
Data Breach — your personal data was exposed or stolen
Privacy Violation — your data was used without consent
Unlawful Data Sharing — your data was sold or shared illegally
Identity Theft — someone used your data to impersonate you
GDPR / CCPA Violation — a company violated data protection law
Doxxing — your personal information was published without consent
Data Retention Violation — a company kept data beyond legal limits
Other — any other data protection or privacy issue
Submitting a Report
The more detail, the stronger your case. You'll need:
The name and URL of the company or service
A clear one-line summary of what happened
A detailed description of the violation
Any evidence (screenshots, emails, reference numbers)
Approximate date the incident occurred
Your jurisdiction (country/region)
Optional but helpful: whether you contacted the company first, and what their response was.
Initial review: within 2–3 business days. Company contact: within 5–7 business days of review. Regulatory referral: within 10 business days if the company fails to respond.
Complex cases (identity theft, cross-border violations) may take longer. Reports pending for more than 7 days are automatically escalated to "Investigating" status.
Yes. You can submit up to 3 reports per hour (a rate limit to prevent abuse). There is no limit on total reports. Each report is treated as a separate case with its own tracking ID and status.
1. Submission — you receive a confirmation email with your case reference number.
2. Review (Pending) — our team reviews the details for completeness and validity.
3. Investigation — we contact the company, gather additional evidence if needed.
4. Escalation — if the company doesn't cooperate, we refer to authorities (ICO, FTC, etc.).
5. Resolution — case is closed when a satisfactory outcome is reached or all escalation paths are exhausted.
You're notified by email and in-app notification at each stage.
Your Privacy & Data
Yes. Your report details are only visible to you and Viora staff. We never share your personal information with the company you're reporting without your explicit consent (unless required by law). When contacting companies, we use a reference number system that protects your identity unless you choose to be identified.
Yes. Go to Settings and submit a data deletion request. Under GDPR/CCPA, we are required to delete your personal data within 30 days. Active case files may be retained for a further period for legal compliance reasons, after which they are permanently anonymised or deleted.
All data is stored on Google Firebase (Firestore) with encryption at rest and in transit. Firebase servers are located in the United States (us-central1). Data transfers from the EU/UK are governed by Google's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) as required under GDPR.
Legal & Escalation
No. Viora is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. We act as a case facilitator. We cannot guarantee any particular outcome. However, we maximise the pressure on offending companies by using official regulatory channels, documented compliance notices, and referral to relevant authorities.
Depending on your jurisdiction and the nature of the violation:
UK — ICO (Information Commissioner's Office), Action Fraud, FCA
USA — FTC (Federal Trade Commission), IC3, State AGs
EU — CNIL (France), national DPAs, EDPB
Global — Europol, national cybercrime units
You remain in control — we prepare the referral documentation and you decide whether to proceed.

Try a hard refresh (Cmd+Shift+R on Mac, Ctrl+Shift+R on Windows). If the issue persists, try signing out and back in. Your reports are saved securely — a loading issue is always a temporary technical problem, never data loss. Contact support chat if the problem continues.
Yes. Viora is fully responsive and works on all modern mobile browsers. You can also install it as a Progressive Web App (PWA) — tap "Add to Home Screen" when prompted, or use the install banner that appears at the bottom of the page. The PWA works offline for viewing your existing reports.
Check your spam/junk folder for emails from viora@proxiedmail.com or viora@proxiedmail.com. Add these to your safe senders list. If you still haven't received it after 30 minutes, your report was still saved — check your dashboard. Contact support if needed.
